Coming in August 2026, date TBA.
In the Summer of 2025, Viz Saraby, Mikael Sandblom and Nisa Cornforth initiated the Art in the Wild show in Meaford. It began as a celebration of curiosity, creativity, and community, a one-evening event when the familiar Georgian Trail was transformed into an open‑air gallery. More than 30 local artists and two musicians scattered work through trees, along fences, and across the landscape, turning nature itself into exhibition space. Visitors wandered the trail with drink in hand, discovering installations tucked into unexpected corners, and chatted with the artists. It invited people to look twice at both art and its environment.
Now, under the guidance of SeeSaw Art Collective, Art in the Wild is evolving. The next chapter will focus on site‑specific, conceptual work that pushes beyond the traditional exhibition format. It will be art that responds to place, questions context, and invites meaningful engagement with both environment and audience. While the show will still nurture connection and community, the emphasis will shift toward experiences that provoke conversation and expand how we think about art in the landscape.
Whether you’re a seasoned art enthusiast or just curious about new ways of seeing, Art in the Wild promises to be an inventive and adventurous chapter in the region’s culture, where art is a little off the beaten path.

SeeSaw Artist Collective
SeeSaw Artist Collective is a community of idea-driven creatives from the Meaford and Owen Sound area. We share our work, exchange ideas, learn, and inspire one another while engaging with the wider community. Our main event, Art in the Wild, transforms a location in Meaford into a site-specific art show. At SeeSaw, artists grow, explore new ideas, and connect in a supportive environment where creative risks are encouraged.
