‘A Love Unbecoming’ – a reading

Sunday, June 7th, 1 pm GUM Gallery – 46 Sykes St. N., Meaford

A Love Unbecoming is a wartime comedy of manners set in Britain, where class expectations, romantic misunderstandings, and social conventions collide. Centred on an unlikely love triangle involving a countess and a butler, the play unfolds as a fast-moving farce of misplaced affections, sharp exchanges, and increasingly tangled loyalties. Framed by the fading world of radio performance, the story blends period atmosphere with humour and romantic confusion to explore what happens when love refuses to stay in its proper place.

A Love Unbecoming is a fast-paced, 1940s-style wartime British radio farce written by Dan Jeannotte. The play premiered at the Montreal Fringe Festival in Montreal, Quebec.
