Bio:
I live in Meaford but spent most of my career in Montreal and Toronto. I was on the board of The Montreal Arts Club and Montreal Women’s Art Society for many years. In Toronto, I was an active member of the Neilson Park Creative Center working under the direction of artist Steve Rose. I hold a BFA from Concordia University.
My artistic journey started with more traditional landscapes before discovering a nonobjective approach. I have worked in soft pastels, oils and acrylics and enjoy experimenting with mixed media and collage. This brings me down unpredictable paths.

Favourite artists:
I admire Georgia O’Keefe and Emily Carr for their innovation, boldness, and originality. I find inspiration in how these two women dedicated themselves to their art without conforming to conventional paths.
Favourite adjective:
To me, being creative means allowing the process itself to shape the direction of my work rather than strictly following traditional methods. My pieces often differ significantly from where I started.
Most exciting event:
While attending Concordia University, I attended a six-week course in Nimes, France, led by artist Hannibal Srouji. My experiences painting en plein air while exploring architecture, galleries and history throughout southern France and visiting the Louvre deeply influenced my artistic approach and color choices elevating my work to a new level.
