A second chance to see the work from Art in the Pews
In August 2026, Art in the Pews brought together 18 artists for a one-day exhibition at Christ Church Anglican in Meaford. Artwork filled the church pews and surrounding spaces, creating a setting for visitors to wander, discover, and engage with the work.
For those who missed it, or would simply like to see the work again, GUM Gallery is bringing Art in the Pews back together in a new setting.
Presented within the gallery, the exhibition offers another way to experience the range of work and artists that made the original event such a success. Removed from the architecture and atmosphere of the church and brought into GUM, the work takes on a different character, while retaining the spirit of the original exhibition: accessible, informal, and varied.
Art in the Pews at GUM is both a continuation of the original event and a second chance to see what you may have missed.
